An alloy based on tungsten (about 90-98%) and containing nickel, iron, copper or other components has a specific gravity of 17.0-18.5. This alloy has good plasticity and machinability, good thermal conductivity and electrical conductivity, and has excellent absorption capacity for gamma rays or X-rays。

Alloy properties
1) Significant proportion: the general proportion is 16.5-18.75g/cm3;
2) High strength: tensile strength is 700-1000 Mpa;
3) Strong absorption of radiation: 30-40% higher than lead;
4) High thermal conductivity: the thermal conductivity of tungsten alloy is 5 times that of die steel.
5) The coefficient of thermal expansion is small: only 1/2-1/3 of iron or steel.
6) Excellent conductivity; It is not widely used in lighting and welding industry because of its good conductivity.
7) It has good weldability and processability.
