Pure tungsten bar is made of 99.95% tungsten powder. Its physical properties are as follows: density of 19.3g/cm3, melting point (liquid) of 3422°C, conductivity of 30% IACS Min, hardness of 69HRA Min. Results of forging and annealing process can be obtained through tests. It has special properties, such as low thermal expansion and good thermal conductivity, sufficient resistance to resistance, high elastic modulus. It is widely used in various fields, such as support line, leadin line, printer needle, various electrodes and quartz furnace, filament, high-speed tools, automotive automatic products, sputtering targets, heating devices with special properties, etc. It is generally made by powder metallurgy.

Different average forging ratio and forging methods were used to carry out forging length of sintered pure tungsten bars, and the forged tungsten bars were annealed under different annealing systems. The microstructure and physical and mechanical properties of the samples were analyzed by metallographic microscope, hardness tester and density tester. The research results show that:
1.0 After forging, the density and hardness of tungsten bar increase significantly, but the average forging ratio is too large to cause the tungsten bar to appear the phenomenon of forging cracking. When forging at 1450℃, the average forging ratio should be less than 32%.
2.0 Compared with the tungsten bar forged with a smaller average forging ratio and one end of fire, the tungsten bar forged with a larger average forging ratio and two ends of fire has finer structure and higher hardness.
3.0 when the total forging ratio is about 80%, the recrystallization of the tungsten bar forged with one end of fire is basically completed at 1300℃ for 30 min with a small average forging ratio, while the recrystallization of the tungsten bar forged with one end of fire is completed at 1350℃ for 60 min with a large average forging ratio. After annealing, the hardness of the tungsten bars forged by the two forging processes will decrease, and the hardness of the tungsten bars forged by the former process is less than that of the latter at the beginning and before annealing. With the completion of recovery and recrystallization, this difference is no longer obvious.
