Its purity is as high as 99.7%. Because of good thermal, mechanical, chemical, electrical and other properties, and widely used in smelting, power equipment and other fields.
In terms of physical and chemical properties, ordinary molybdenum strip has various advantages of metallic molybdenum, such as bright and shiny surface, high melting point, high specific gravity, high strength, high hardness, low thermal expansion coefficient, high temperature resistance, good electrical and thermal conductivity, etc. Note: Molybdenum strips are silver in color and black when lubricant and oxidation coating are retained.
In terms of production method, the preparation process of molybdenum strip is as follows: molybdenite concentrate → oxidizing roasting → calcining → leaching → ammonium molybdate solution → purification → neutralization crystallization → ammonium polymolybdate solution → evaporation crystallization → ammonium secondary molybdate → calcining → molybdenum trioxide → reduction → molybdenum powder → forming sintering → molybdenum strip. Note that ammonia water needs to be added during leaching and dissolution; Hydrochloric acid needs to be added in the neutralization crystallization; The gas used in reduction is hydrogen.
In terms of appearance and shape, molybdenum bars are rectangular and cylindrical; From the point of view of surface state, molybdenum strip has alkali washed, polished, polished and polished; From the point of use, molybdenum strip can be divided into conventional molybdenum strip, high temperature molybdenum strip and steelmaking molybdenum strip.
Alkali washing molybdenum strip refers to the ordinary molybdenum rod is put into the pot filled with alkali liquid for alkali boiling descaling rod, the surface is smooth and has gray metallic luster. Lye is prepared with sodium hydroxide and sodium carbonate or trisodium phosphate. Polished molybdenum bar is the product of ordinary molybdenum bar after rough grinding, medium grinding and fine grinding. The surface is silver-gray metallic luster, and smooth, and the size error is small. Carding molybdenum bar is the product of ordinary molybdenum bar after carding processing. Although the surface is flat and metallic luster, it is rough and not as smooth as alkali washing and polished molybdenum bar. Polished molybdenum bar refers to the ordinary molybdenum bar using mechanical, chemical or electrochemical way to reduce the surface roughness of the product, the surface is bright and smooth.
Conventional molybdenum strip is mainly made of molybdenum wire. High temperature molybdenum strip can be used to prepare high strength wire-cut molybdenum wire, high temperature electric heating element, electric light source material, electric vacuum device and high temperature structural parts, etc. Molybdenum strip is mainly used as steel additive to improve the high temperature strength and toughness of steel.
