What is tungsten alloy
Tungsten alloys, also known as high specific gravity tungsten alloys, are refractory metals consisting of W-Ni-Fe, W-Ni-Cu and W-Ni-Cu-Fe.Tungsten alloys have a high melting point, double the density of steel and 50% higher than lead. In general, the tungsten content and density of tungsten alloys with high specific gravity are 90%~97% and 16.5g/cc~18.75g/cc.
There are many kinds of tungsten alloy products with high specific gravity. Different processing methods can produce tungsten alloy products of different shapes, such as tungsten alloy rods, tungsten alloy cylinders, tungsten alloy bars, tungsten alloy blocks and so on. Tungsten alloys can be used in many fields due to their small size, high density, high strength and high hardness.In the field of sports, as golf club counterweight, tungsten alloy fishing drop, tungsten alloy dart rod, as counterweight used in racing boats and racing cars; in the medical field, tungsten alloy can be used as radiation shield, radiation source container, collimator.
The production process of tungsten alloys (high specific gravity tungsten alloys) generally includes mixing, drying, pressing, pre-sintering, liquid phase sintering and post-treatment and processing.
