With the increase of the utilization rate of tungsten molybdenum tantalum niobium metal products, there may be residues on the surface, such as dust, oil, oxides, etc., and then there will be varying degrees of nodulation on the surface of the target, and the quality of the products will also decline, resulting in the increase of production costs. Therefore, the product needs to be cleaned sufficiently.
The purpose of cleaning products is to remove impurities, dust or dirt that may exist on the target surface. Cleaning can be achieved by the following methods. Please wear clean and non fluffy protective gloves when cleaning products to avoid direct contact with hands.
(1) Remove the large particles, and use the vacuum cleaner to remove the large particles on the surface of the product
(2) Sandpaper grinding: sand paper with corresponding mesh number is used to polish the product surface. If the target grinding direction is in accordance with the direction of some runway formed by the sputtering surface of the target, at the same time, the Yellow oxide layer on the middle surface of the runway shall be polished to remove the oxides and impurities on the sputtering surface.
(3) Cleaning and dust removal: the dust and particles produced by sandpaper grinding on the sputtering surface of the target are removed by a vacuum cleaner.
Maintenance of metal products
When the product is not in use, it is recommended that the user keep the product in a vacuum sealed plastic bag with moisture-proof agent attached. In particular, laminating products need to be stored in vacuum to avoid the oxidation of laminating layer affecting the bonding quality. Its outer package is generally wooden case with a collision proof layer around it to protect the target and back target from damage during transportation and storage.
