Tungsten pins is a kind of tungsten product which is made of pure tungsten or tungsten alloy electrode material and grinded into a tip by one end.
Purity: W ≥ 99.95%
Melting point: 3420 ° C / 3693 K
The main uses of tungsten needles are as follows:
1. Cathode discharge needle
Tungsten needle can be used in ion blower, ion blower, ion gun, ion snake, electrostatic rod and other equipment as cathode for electron emission.
2. For electron probe element
It can be used in digital four probe tester, four probe resistivity square resistance probe, silicon composite tester, semiconductor conductivity type identification instrument, etc.
3. Tungsten argon arc welding
In AC or DC welding process, we can use sharpened pure tungsten, cerium tungsten, thorium tungsten electrodes. In the case of low current or welding thin materials, sharpened tungsten needles work better than ordinary electrodes because they guide current into concentrated arcs and help prevent them from twisting. However, higher current applications are not recommended because the tip of the sharp tungsten electrode falls off, which can cause contamination.
